I'm Dee (full/real name, Deirdre) Mahon.
I'm a graphic designer with a strong background in animation, illustration, and 3D illustration.
2012—I graduated from architecture school in Chicago, IL, but decided I wanted to be a graphic designer instead. My illustration style still tends to have a holdover from those days.
2012-2015—taught myself a lot of random skills and started freelancing for a few marketing companies, made a lot of motion graphic videos.
2015—started working at a product development firm in Chicago as a graphic designer and design researcher. I designed user interfaces for products and apps, worked on a lot of presentations, made a lot of motion graphic videos, conducted field and product research—even once spending a week working in an Amazon fulfillment center in Indiana.
2015-present—started working in the design studio at Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, OR, where I've done work for clients like KFC, Chiquita, Nike, Samsung, Coca-Cola, Powerade, Proctor & Gamble, and Chobani. I've gotten to work across the whole gamut of design at W+K, including production, branding, design research, UI design, motion, 3D concepting, and of course, making ads.
