Oregon Weather Compass

Travel Oregon Weather Compass Microsite

From the Travel Oregon website:

It rains in Oregon. But what you might not know is that it’s also sunny here — you just have to know where to look to find the sun. The same goes for snow, because all that rain gets turned into snow if you’re up on Mt. Hood or Mt. Bachelor or any of our other dormant volcanoes with ski resorts on them. Or maybe you really like the rain and you want to find a place where it’s really raining. Because that place probably has a fireplace you can read a book next to.

That’s why we made the Oregon Weather Compass. Load it up on your smartphone and it will show you where you can find sun, snow or rain anywhere in Oregon. It works just like a compass because that’s what it is. And we added three icons that tell you in real time the location of the kind of weather you’re seeking, along with driving directions and fun things you can do once you’re there.

I worked on the design and UI design for the site and the motion graphics for the home screen "current weather" states.
